Rani Chandra

Rani is a spin-off from The Sarah Jane Adventures, making this series a spin-off of a spin-off. Anjli Mohindra got her start on that show, and although her career has taken her in lots of different directions, she seems to regularly come back to Doctor Who, playing various Big Finish characters, lending her voice to various special projects, appearing on a Behind the Sofa series with Sacha Dhawan, and even playing the Queen of the Skithra under a ton of makeup in “Nicola Tesla’s Night of Terror.” In her Big Finish series, released in 2023, she’s an adult Rani, clearly following in Sarah Jane’s footsteps.
