The Tenth Doctor

The Tenth Doctor

The Tenth Doctor defined Doctor Who for a new generation, much like the Fourth Doctor did for the classic series. He’s cool, he’s confident, he’s funny, and a little bit sexy, which caused his companions to fall for him. Even better, David Tennant himself was a super-fan since his childhood, and loved just about everything about being the Doctor, on-screen and off. He appeared in several Big Finish roles before being cast as the Doctor, and apparently wanted to do more. Although he’s had a very successful career since leaving the role (breaking the classic-series typecasting curse), he seems to be willing to come back as often as possible. However, his busy schedule meant his appearances were somewhat limited, until the 2020 pandemic. He discovered the joy of recording from home, most famously with Staged, his series with Michael Sheen, but also in a large number of Big Finish stories, expanding this era nicely.
