Donna Noble

On the face of it, a Donna Noble solo series seems a bit odd. We know what she was like before, and we know what she did after, so where does it fit? As it turns out, the events of “Silence in the Library” were pretty traumatic for her, so the Doctor took her home for a break, which is an entirely understandable thing to do. Except, being Donna, she finds trouble. Catherine Tate was clearly fine to work with Big Finish again, and it seems they couldn’t coordinate her with David Tennant, so this is what happened instead. As a co-star, she’s got Niky Wardley playing Donna’s old friend Nat. Wardley is no stranger to Big Finish, having played brief companion Tamsin Drew. And Wardley often works with Tate in their comedy shows, so it’s a natural pairing.
