Distant Voices

Tweflth Doctor Chronicles #1.3

Released: 13 February 2020

Listened: 1/8/23

Back to the Chronicles, but no guest actor from TV this time. Instead we have Emily Redpath as Cameron, a tour guide at Rochester Castle. Except that things are timey-wimey, and Cameron and the Doctor find themselves in 1215, during King John’s siege of the castle, and it later turns out that things are even more timey-wimey than that. The Doctor is back to being cranky in this one; there’s some slight elements of mellowing, but he’s pretty short with stupid people and soldiers, which unfortunately there’s quite a bit of in all time periods. Not Cameron, though. Cameron’s boss Alex, however, is quite stupid, and happens to sound an awful lot like Jacob Dudman’s Eleventh Doctor. I guess you eventually run out of voices. Probably the weak link of this set.
