The Ninth Doctor Adventures Series 1 #1.2

Released: 13 May 2021

Listened: 9/12/22

This is the middle part of the “Ravagers” storyline, and unfortunately, it really feels like a middle part. The Doctor at least knows that he was mistaken about the threat Audrey posed in Part 1, although she’s not making it easy on him. There’s a whole lot of bouncing around in timelines, including the Battle of Waterloo, for no real good reason. The Doctor is able to rescue Nova from her cliffhanger, but then there’s rather too much chasing about through time, trying to track down a “node” that may or may not be linked to the problem. The pacing and the number of scene changes are appropriate to a new-series story, but the overall arc doesn’t seem to be proceeding as quickly as it could.
