And this one is an Eighth Doctor story, so I’ll cover it there. But in Peladon-specific observations, I’ll note that the monarchy seems to be entirely defunct, and there’s no indication of where it’ll go from here. In fact, this entire boxed set has been nothing but darkness and bad news for Peladon, making me wonder why Big Finish bothered, if the stories were going to be depressing. Also makes me wonder why it’s one of the Doctor’s favorite planets, but I suppose, in fairness, Earth isn’t a lot better. But, we get to hear Paul McGann’s rendition of the Venusian lullaby, with a bonus rendition at the close of the story, and it really sounds quite lovely.
