This is the second half of the Short Trip from the very end of the Tenth Doctor’s tenure, and features both the Tenth and Eleventh Doctors, but this half is definitely more Eleven. Which means more Henry Gordon Jago and his florid narrative style, which may not be to your taste. In fact, this second half doesn’t really live up to the setup. There’s a bit of a runaround, the Doctor does a clever thing, resolution. The Tenth Doctor bows out early, and he admits that he’s on his farewell tour, but there isn’t much more to it than that. You could consider it a love letter to Jago and Litefoot, if you like, and it works perfectly well on that level.
