The Tenth Doctor Solo (again)

Every Doctor needs a solo period where Big Finish can squeeze in stories, and the BBC provided Big Finish with a whopping huge one in 2009. Only a handful of specials aired in that year, all considered to be part of Series 4, and not only was the Doctor canonically without a companion for that period, he also spent a long time between televised stories. With an invitation like that, various writers have squeezed in two whole epic storylines (so far): Dalek Universe from Big Finish, and the Time Lord Victorious multimedia storyline from…well, primarily James Goss, but lots of people. And we’ve got some River Song and multi-Doctor stories too. But all good things must end, and this era comes to a close with multiple stories set in the last minutes of “The End of Time.”
