Jenny, the Doctor’s Daughter, was introduced in the Series 4 episode of the same name, a genetically engineered creation taken from a skin-scraping of the Doctor. Although the Doctor denied her at first, he came to acknowledge her validity, but she died at the end of the episode, making the whole thing moot. Except she didn’t die…after the TARDIS had gone, she regenerated without changing appearance, and went off on her own. On the meta side, Georgia Moffat is the daughter of Fifth Doctor Peter Davison, and after meeting on that episode, she married Tenth Doctor David Tennant (which must make family gatherings very interesting). When you’ve got a character with that much potential and an actress with ties to the Big Finish community, a series of Jenny audios was nearly inevitable. With Russell T Davies’ blessing, they’ve released a couple of boxes so far. Initially, I avoided the spin-offs that didn’t feature the Doctor, but Big Finish wore me down with sales, so here we are.
