The Reality War

TV Series 15, episode 8

Aired: 24 May 2025

In which just about everything that was built up this season is wasted. Omega is a giant skeletal beast, for no reason. The newer Rani gets eaten alive, but Mrs. Flood escapes. The alternate reality resets itself, which means Poppy ceases to exist, but only Ruby remembers, for some reason. The Doctor sacrifices himself to bring Poppy back into existence, forcing Belinda into single-motherdom without actually getting her consent. This story was supposed to carry into another season, but Disney didn't approve one, so the revelation that Poppy is Susan's mother got jettisoned at the last moment.

The Thirteenth Doctor shows up for a quick cameo chat at the end, and then the Fifteenth Doctor regenerates into...Billie Piper? As of this writing, that hasn't been explained yet.
