The Power of the Doctor

TV Centenary Special 2022

Aired: 23 October 2022

The Master returns in this anniversary special and throws absolutely everything at the wall. It's got Daleks, it's got Cybermen, it's got the Master dancing to "Rasputin" in the Russian winter palace. It's got Ace and Tegan, both of whom get to snark at the Master over the pain he's caused them. And it has the Master stealing the Doctor's body and then making some dire wardrobe choices.

The Master doesn't make it out of this story, but The Giggle tells us that the Celestial Toymaker imprisoned him in his gold tooth, which is picked up by a mysterious party at the end of the story, so you can bet he'll be back again someday.
